Transition Is Coming...

One of the toughest seasons to dress for is almost upon us — transition season. One minute it’s 60 degrees, and the next you find yourself with three layers of socks on. It can be challenging to find outfits that are both seasonal and function for the crazy weather changes. But don't worry! We've got you covered with these three styles.

cold shoulder sweater and skirt

A way to guarantee you'll be seasonal yet stylin' is the classic sweater/skirt combo. Cold-shoulder sweaters, like our Here Comes the Sun Frayed Sweater, are great because you'll still be warm, but the exposed shoulders give it that "I'm ready for warmer weather" attitude. Skirts are also a great way to transition your wardrobe. On colder days, you can layer with some leggings/pantyhose and booties while on warmer days, you can show off your fab legs. Our go to skirts for transition season are faux leather because they still have a cool weather feel. Pair your sweater with a skirt like the Desert Oasis Skirt for the perfect transition outfit!

cardigans

Another perfect option for transition season? Cardigans! These staple pieces are a girl's best friend - they're the best accessory to pull together a whole look or make a statement on their own. Two cardigans we adore for transition season are the Anything Flamin-Go's Cardigan and the Fruity Cereal Cardigan. Both of these looks are super versatile and the colors say "hey Spring - where you at??" Wear the Anything Flamin-Go's Cardigan with white jeans, denim shorts and a tee when the weather breaks, or over a little dress for Valentine's Day. Wear the Fruity Cereal Cardigan with black pants, top, or a dress to make the colors really pop!

button downs

Our last transition piece is a button-down blouse. Button-downs are great for layering or wearing on their own! And a new twist on the classic button-down is a front tie, just like our American Dreams Front Tie top. This top is really versatile and can be worn year-round depending on how you style it! It looks great with jeans and over-the-knee boots for cooler weather, or red mules like our Red Hot Mule when you get that day of warmth. Throw a neutral-colored cardigan over it for a completed look!

We hope these tips will help you make the most of this challenging season. Keep an eye out for more transition pieces coming soon! - Victoria
